After the rock wall, Faith wanted to try one of the carnival games. She went for the balloon popping. She missed on her first two but the guy said to try again. When she popped the second two he told us she was at ten. He then handed her two more darts...she popped the next two. At this point he told us she was at twenty. We thought great she is climbing right up the animal ladder...he handed her two more darts and she popped the next two. He told her she hit thirty...at this point Gregg and I looked at each other because we both realized we didn't see a thirty..probably because he meant thirty dollars. Gregg let him know there was no way we were paying thirty dollars! He did end up paying $15.oo for her stuffed bulldog. Guess we were the ones schooled by the carnies. The lines were longer than Disneyland so we skipped the rides, as were the lines to make the strawberry shortcakes. I try to convince them I could make better ones at home but they were determined. We did find one station where the lines weren't two bad which made Gregg and Faith happy. I think the best deal of the day was the beach chairs we bought. They are homemade and they rock...they are so comfy.

Strawberry Festival
This weekend was busy, but we had a great time as a family. Gregg ran in the Gasparilla 5 k race on Saturday morning. When he got back we decided to go to Plant City and check out the Strawberry Festival. Gregg was excited about the booth where you can make your own strawberry shortcake. It ended up being like a county fair...expense, loud and more people than any fair I attended. First thing Faith saw was the rock wall. She schooled all the boys how to climb this thing...she made it look like a piece of cake. She had quite the audience and they cheered when she pushed the red button at the top.
